Meet Kelly

I I

I've been fascinated with words for as long as I can remember. I honed my skills and earned my bachelor's in journalism at the University of Georgia. After a year waiting tables and hiking the Appalachian Trail, I settled into a career working in the magazine industry in Atlanta. Later, I branched out as a freelance writer. Now, I work full time as a communications manager at the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health.

I've written hundreds of lifestyle articles over the years for a range of magazines and websites including: Southern Living, Darling, Redbook, Paste, Atlanta magazine, The Atlantan, Jezebel, South, Flavors, Simply Buckhead and several others. While I have written about a variety of subjects, my favorite articles tend to revolve around food, people, and travel. I have been lucky enough to talk to people like Dominique Wilkins, Ed Roland, Alton Brown, Stephen King, Cat Cora, and numerous other dynamic, creative people who aren't as famous (yet).

I'm also an aspiring children's author and active member of both SCBWI and 12x12.
